Pre-Hearing Conference
The Registrar gives notice of a Pre-Hearing Conference ("PHC") at which directions may be given and orders may be made by the Registrar for the further conduct of the appeal.
The Registrar will fix a time and place for the hearing of the appeal. See s 25(1).
Parties may also make interlocutory applications to the Registrar. See Practice Direction No. 1 of 2001.
If any party is dissatisfied with any directions given or orders made by the Registrar he may request a further hearing before the Registrar or appeal to the Commissioner within 7 days.
- See Practice Direction No. 1 of 2001.
- See Form for Interlocutory Application (Form 8)
- No formal Notice of Appeal to the Commissioner is required. A written notice to the Registrar with a copy to the opposing or other parties of the intention to appeal to the Commissioner is sufficient for this purpose. A notice of the intention to appeal must be lodged with the Board within 7 days of the date the direction is given or the order is made.
