Overview

The Appeals Board is a tribunal created and governed by the Land Acquisition Act. We hear appeals from any landowner whose land has been acquired by the Collector of Land Revenue acting as the Government's agent and who is dissatisfied with the Collector's award of compensation. After hearing such appeals, we may confirm, reduce, increase or annul the award of the Collector.
