Our People
The Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioner are appointed by the President. All Commissioners that have been appointed were either sitting or retired judges or judicial commissioners of the Supreme Court.
Ms Foo Tuat Yien, a Senior District Judge at the Subordinate Court, was appointed the Deputy Commissioner from 1 June to 31 December 2010. With effect from 1 January 2011, she has been appointed as Commissioner of the Appeals Board.

The Registrar of the Board and such other officers and employees, as may be necessary, are appointed by the Minister for Law. There have been 31 registrars so far. The Registrar is also currently an Assistant Registrar of the Supreme Court.
